Stephan/H (Booth 3211), a Canadian manufacturer of flight suits and other technical uniforms for aerospace professionals, is showcasing one of its flight suits at Heli-Expo by way of brand ambassador Alyssa Carson, an aspiring Mars astronaut.
Carson is a private pilot, a junior majoring in astrobiology at the Florida Institute of Technology, and a public speaker. She also has attended numerous NASA and space-related training opportunities since she was seven, and at 17 received an applied astronautics certification to conduct research missions in suborbital space. “Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the aviation industry generate a synergistic community wherever she goes,” said Stephan Huot, CEO and founder of the company.
Huot, who is also a pilot, started Stephan/H in 2012 to design a flight suit that would meet the needs of helicopter pilots within his helicopter charter operation. “The market didn’t seem to offer a flight suit with the functionality, style, and accessories such as the stretch inserts for comfort and ease of movement that pilots need in a flight uniform,” he added.
