  • AIN’s Helicopter training special report show how the industry has embraced simulators, not just for pilots, but also for crewmembers in the back. While pilots can take advantage of the latest in visuals and motion technology, crewmembers can also train for their roles as hoist operators, among others.

  • Aviation app developers have provided pilots with an imaginative array of technology, way beyond flight planning and navigation. AIN conducted a survey of what apps pilots use, and which ones are the most popular. The results show that the acceptance of apps varies not only from pilot to pilot, but also by aircraft type and operating segments.

  • With the Heli-Expo show upcoming, this issue is chock full of rotorcraft material, starting with a comprehensive preview of the show in Las Vegas. Also included in our coverage is the New Rotorcraft report for 2018, with an overview of what’s on tap in all different segments.
