AIN’s Helicopter training special report show how the industry has embraced simulators, not just for pilots, but also for crewmembers in the back. Aviation app developers have provided pilots with an imaginative array of technology, way beyond flight planning and navigation. AIN conducted a survey of what apps pilots use, and which ones are the most popular. The results show that the acceptance of apps varies not only from pilot to pilot, but also by aircraft type and operating segments.
