  • In Washington, a long-term FAA funding package has finally seen the light of day, following years of temporary stopgap measures. In a big plus for business and general aviation interests, the reauthorization does not include a controversial air traffic control privatization portion.
  • In other good news, the annual Aircraft Electronics show beamed with optimism for the avionics industry. It seems that even after the flood of sales ahead of the upcoming ADS-B mandate ebbs, there appears to be plenty of reason to believe new and retrofit avionics will continue to be a good business to be in.
  • And finally, business jet operators planning to fly to the upcoming World Cup soccer tournament in Russia are strongly advised by trip planners to make arrangements well ahead. This month’s issue provides the basics of a game plan.
